INFO: Bali Aga

The place Kintamani exists since 9th Century and already belonged to the ancient Kingdom of Bali. At the village of Kedisan on the shore of the crater lake, boats can be rented to cross the lake for Trunyan. This ancient village is inhabited by the Bali Aga, the original Balinese natives, which kept their cultural and religious traditions over the centuries by strict isolation. One of the most popular is to put the body of a deceased person under a banyan tree, without any funeral. However, they are not necessarily welcome tourists.
